Our mission is to foster a campus culture where brain health is prioritized, making it easier for students to thrive both academically and personally. We aim to equip students with lifelong habits that strengthen cognitive functioning, emotional resilience, and professional success.
As college students, we know how busy our brains can be—and we’re not alone. Many students face intense academic pressure alongside life stressors that challenge their mental and cognitive well-being. A 2024 Gallup report highlighted this reality: 32% of enrolled students in the United States reported considering dropping out or withdrawing from their academic or career programs. That statistic inspired us to ask: How can we help fellow students make their college years more enjoyable, meaningful, and resilient?
That’s why we founded BrainHealth Champions at UT Dallas—to empower peers to unlock their brain’s full potential. We believe in the incredible capacity of every student’s brain and the vital role it plays in learning, creativity, relationships, and overall well-being.
Through peer-to-peer outreach, BrainHealth Champions supports students with strategies that are practical, relatable, and sustainable—helping them navigate challenges and build a foundation for meaningful growth.
