CometTutors

The mission of CometTutors is to further democratize secondary education further in the Dallas Fort Worth community through tutoring, guidance, and volunteering. We hope to bridge the gap in education between students and help provide consistency in the lives of students who may lack a guiding voice in their academic careers.

The purpose of CometTutors is to: Help schools in the Greater Dallas area by allowing select college students to tutor high school students in the AVID program in relevant math and science subjects as well as provide college/life advice. Also to Allow students to make a long-lasting impact in the community by understanding how to teach and mentor younger peers.

CometTutors is a branch of the nonprofit Promoting Education Across the Country (PEAC). The organization offers tutoring and mentoring services at local high schools and middle schools. The organization also offers extra services such as educational videos, scholarships, and SAT/ACT test prep.
