Design Build Fly

Design Build Fly (DBF) is an international aeronautical design competition hosted by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). Every year, over one hundred university teams participate to design, build, and fly a large remote-controlled aircraft to perform three flight missions and one ground mission. At the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), we are an interdisciplinary team of aspiring aerospace engineers tasked with producing an aircraft to represent the school at the competition. We provide hands-on, technical experiences by combining aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, and other engineering processes into a competitive design project. Students of all majors and years are welcome to join!
