For Autistic Empowerment (FAE)

All neurotypes are welcome! :) FAE meets every Friday from 4-6 pm in GR 4.428 (unless specified otherwise). As an organization, we have two general goals:

1. Building a social community for neurodiverse and interested neurotypical students on campus!

• We have regular social meetings which include special interest presentations, introductions, check-in (we share our energy levels, mood, and preferred noise level), support group (we discuss the challenges related to our autism/neurodivergence and ideas for overcoming these challenges), and finally, we have an rotating activity (board games, card games, comfort item showcase, etc)
• After FAE, members usually go out for dinner and have frequent social hangouts, such as movie or game nights!

2. Extending our experiences to the broader community. We have spoken with autistic students, their parents, and even educator groups- to describe our personal experiences, and how we've learned to navigate life's challenges!
