Medical Humanities Association

Our mission is to advocate for the necessary role that the humanities play in medicine by exposing students to medical issues as understood through a humanities lens. We want to encourage students to explore these topics on their own in hopes of becoming more well-rounded healthcare professionals.
Medical Humanities Association (MHA) will hold monthly meetings that are comprised of a lecture on a topic within medical humanities followed by a discussion afterwards. These will be led by students, UT Dallas faculty, or other outside lecturers.
NOTE: MHA is not intended to be an alternative to other pre-medical clubs at the university (i.e. Health Occupation Students of America, Molding Doctors, etc.) that provide more traditional support to pre-medical students. Rather, the Medical Humanities Association seeks to act as a supplement to these other projects.
