The Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE) is the official student chapter of SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, at UT Dallas.

We are an interdisciplinary organization dedicated to fostering the professional development of people interested in optics, photonics, and imaging technology. We span a large variety of fields, from biomedical imaging and optical communications, all the way to astronomy and quantum hardware.
